FAQ
Straight answers.
Is it free to use?
Yes. You don't pay us anything. Lessons, tools and Ask are free, whether or not you ever invest.
Is my money safe? What if you shut down?
Your money goes from your bank to the fund house through BSE StAR MF. It never sits with us. Units are held in your name at the fund house, and you can see them on CAMS or KFintech. If we shut down, your units stay yours. Like any mutual fund, their value can go down as well as up.
What do I need to start?
A PAN, a bank account in your name, and you need to be 18 or older. If you've done mutual fund KYC before, that's it. If not, the app takes you through it.
What's the minimum? Can I stop or pause a SIP?
Many funds take SIPs from ₹500 a month; each fund page shows its own minimum. You can pause or stop a SIP any time from the SIP screen, in no more taps than it took to start.
Is Ask giving me advice?
No. Ask explains things and shows funds that fit the answers you gave, with the reasons from our fund-picking rules. It doesn't tell you what to buy and never promises returns. We're a mutual fund distributor, not a SEBI-registered investment adviser.
Who regulates you?
Mutual funds are regulated by SEBI. As a mutual fund distributor we're registered with AMFI and follow its code of conduct. Orders go through BSE StAR MF, BSE's platform for mutual fund transactions. Our registration details are on the disclosures page.
How long until my money is invested? How do I withdraw?
If your payment reaches the fund house before the cut-off on a business day (3 pm for most funds, 1:30 pm for liquid funds), you get that day's NAV. Otherwise it's the next business day's. To withdraw, redeem from the app; the money goes only to your own bank account, usually in 1 to 3 working days.
I'm a student with no income. Can I invest?
Yes, if you're 18 or older with a PAN and a bank account in your name. Many funds take ₹500 a month. If money is tight, start with the emergency fund lesson: a small buffer comes before any SIP.
